Our Reading office is a five minute walk from Reading main line train station (that provides excellent access to the rest of the region) and is situated on the edge of the town centre, a 4 minute walk to the Oracle.

Our Reading office has recently relocated to the stunning co-space offices in Broad Street Mall in Reading, which is a excellently appointed within a friendly, modern working environment. The amenities in the building include a break out areas, design led work spaces and complimentary coffee in all the breakout areas; the office is just a 5-minute stroll from the train station with direct links to central London. The space is surrounded by a fabulous array of local amenities.

senior transport planner (approx £34,000-£40,000)

We are looking for exceptional people at Senior Transport Planner grade (someone with around 4 – 7 years experience) who wants to get involved in delivering projects and be a key member of our growing team. Our overall approach in the business is for everyone in the business to work closely together to share their ideas, knowledge and views in order to ensure we achieve a successful outcome for our clients. This means you will have a varied work stream working alongside our wide range of clients, primarily in the Private Sector, includes high profile and prominent developers, land owners, house builders, retailers, universities, NHS health providers as well as contractors.

  • An understanding of relevant local and national policy and guidance;
  • Junction capacity modelling using the Junctions software (ARCADY and PICADY);
  • Traffic signal design using LinSig;
  • Preliminary design of access, junction improvements and highway schemes using AutoCAD;
  • Swept Path Analysis using AutoTrack;
  • Preparation of high quality graphics using GIS packages and/ or Corel Draw;
  • Exposure to Project Management and client communication;
  • Prepare client briefs and fee proposals for submission, as well as contributing to company wide bids and frameworks; and
  • Contribute to working towards our business targets.

We are seeking enthusiastic transport planners who wish to progress to a role where helping to shape the business is part of their day to day role (with around 8-12 years professional experience). Our Associates manage and produce technical transportation studies associated with the delivery of new development; as such we are looking for technically competent individuals who are conversant in analysing various transport or development-related projects and are able to manage several projects and project teams simultaneously. The position will consist of day to day contact with clients and you will be expected to develop and manage key client contacts as well as develop new business.
