Equation Properties appointed mode transport planning to provide highways and transportation advice for the proposed development of an approximate 10,000 sqm of B2/B8. The scheme will be provide in a single unit with associated car parking, an associate travel plan and investment in improved pedestrian facilities.

The site sits on a former Ford dealership in Alperton in Wembley, which is in the London Borough of Brent. Access to the car park will be via the Ealing Raid, whilst access to the warehousing servicing yard will be access via Glacier Way.

mode transport planning has been involved with the scheme from the masterplanning stage of the proposals and have followed on to complete the following works to reach planning approval:

  • inputs to the site masterplan;
  • car parking justification;
  • vehicles tracking;
  • signal design for access and improved pedestrian crossing on eAling Raod;
  • transport assessment;
  • travel plan;
  • inputs to fire strategy; and
  • detailed negotiation with LB Brent Highways officers.

The planning application was submitted in XXX working closely with Highways Officers at London Borough of Brent the highways approval and subsequent planning permission was granted in November 2021.
