mode transport planning are pleased to announce that our client Opus Land has been awarded planning permission for a c.135,000 sq ft industrial unit at Relay Park, Tamworth. The site is situated directly off Junction 10 of the M42 motorway making it one of the Midlands premier distribution and warehousing locations.

mode prepared an access design, Transport Assessment and Travel Plan to support the planning application; Director, David Frisby said:

“The Relay Park application had one of the most complex highways position that mode has worked on. The site is situated in two neighbouring Highways Authorities (Staffordshire and Warwickshire) as well as being in close proximity to the M42, which involved discussions with Highway England; however the team engaged openly with each authority to ensure that a recommendation of highways approval was granted from each in advance of committee”

Permission was granted on the 5th February at the Borough Council’s Committee meeting only three months from submission.
